How do I extract phospholipids for analysis?

The sample can undergo an initial solvent extraction with dichloromethane and then a SPE cleanup using Strata NH₂.

If fractionation is not necessary, after conditioning, you can simply load the sample in DCM, wash (optional) with DCM and elute with 200:100:1 chloroform:methanol: 3N HCl  (T. Pe´rez-Palacios et al. 2007).
