This method was designed for the extraction of mycotoxin fumonisin from wine (taken from J. Agric Food Chem 2010, 58(5), 4853-7).
To a 30mg strata X-C cartridge:
Condition: 1mL methanol
Equilibrate: 1mL DI water
Load: 10 mL spiked or non-spiked wine, ~pH 3.5-4
Wash: 1mL 2% formic acid solution
Dry cartridge on full vac for 5 min
Elution: 2% NH4OH 1:4 methanol/water
Analysis by LCMSMS, with a Phenomenex Gemini 3u C6-Phenyl 50 x 2mm column.
