Can you extract nucleotides by SPE?

You can extract nucleotides from aqueous-based samples using Strata™-X-AW.  Nucleotides will retain in the sorbent via weak anion-exchange interactions while you are able to apply a water and methanol wash to remove unwanted matrix interferences. This method is outlined below. 

Condition/Equilibrate with 300 µL methanol, and then deionized water

Load sample slowly

(If sample is viscous, please dilute 1:1 with a pH 6 buffer)

Wash with 300 µL deionized water and then 300 µL methanol

Dry cartridge on full vacuum for 10 minutes

Elute with 2x 300 µL ammonium hydroxide/methanol (5:95)
