Generally speaking single pore GPC columns will also provide higher resolution than mixed bed or linear columns. However such mixed columns can be advantageous where samples containing a wide range of molecular weights need to be analysed. Alternatively, linear columns can be used for "scouting" runs when little is known about the molecular weight of the sample.
Is there an advantage to using a Linear column rather than single pore GPC columns?
