Reagent 6 in the EZ:faast GC/FID and MS kits are different: in the FID kit reagent 6 is 1N Hydrochloric Acid and in the MS kit it is Iso-octane/Chloroform (80/20).
The final step in sample preparation is also slightly different for the GC/MS kit, and is described in the manual.
